Careen Yapp, our Senior Vice President of Global Business at Mixed Dimensions who also has a vast experience in the gaming arena, has shared a valuable information about the gaming industry. The talk was interesting and unique as she didn’t only talk about the technicalities of this field, but she also shared some interesting stories about the history of this industry and how it all started from the beginning. Careen also explained the supply chain and all the stakeholders involved in this industry and their role in producing the final product/game.

As Mixed Dimension’s Senior Vice President of Global Business, Careen Yapp is responsible for strategic direction and the pursuit of new business development opportunities including licensing the company’s MakePrintable 3D software solution and building strategic video game partnerships to launch GamePrint collectible figures utilizing the company’s groundbreaking game capture technology.
Before joining Mixed Dimensions, Yapp served as Vice President of Business Development and Account Management for Gaikai, where she supported new business development activities, including the acquisition of new partners and content properties for Sony Computer Entertainment’s growing global game streaming business. She also served in the major business development and licensing roles at Konami Digital Entertainment, D3Publisher of America and THQ. Careen also participated in the acquisition and development of high-profile brands from Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, DreamWorks, Warner Bros., Fox, Marvel, Mattel, Microsoft and Lego and strategic promotions with Universal Studios, the Smithsonian, Taco Bell, and Hot Topic. She currently serves as a board member for the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) Foundation and Women in Games International and has served as a member of the Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association (LIMA) Board and Game Connection Advisory Board.
